Our Mission

Ganado ISD is dedicated to providing an educational program that will ensure each student, regardless of ability, environment, or ethnicity the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills, physical abilities and competencies to maximum capacity, and to learn behavioral and social patterns which will make that student a responsible member of society in a diverse and changing world.



Fast Facts

Ganado Independent School District is located in the northern part of Jackson County 37 miles northeast of Victoria and approximately 90 miles southwest of Houston.

District Schools (Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12) are fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. Between 2007- 2010, Ganado ISD received a three-year Elementary Counselor Grant for approximately $915,000 ($305,000 per year) and three-year Drug Testing Grant for approximately $240,000 ($80,000 per year) for a total of $1.55 million over the three years. Then in 2008 the district received a three-year Alcohol Prevention Grant for the Secondary School for approximately $1,050,000 ($350,000 per year). In addition, the district receives E-Rate Grants as well as applies for all regular federal funding grants.
